Marketing Intern 

Downtown Partnership of Baltimore (DPOB) is looking for a part-time Marketing Intern for their corporate headquarters on South Charles Street. The Marketing Intern at Downtown Partnership of Baltimore (DPOB) will play an enthusiastic marketing support role, providing creative ideas and tactical support to help achieve our goals. This role will handle administrative duties that support the marketing, events, and communications teams while collaborating on key marketing, public relations, and communications initiatives. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities   

  • Support marketing team with planning and execution of consumer events including, but not limited to Pratt Street Market and Charles Street Promenade. 

  • Promote the business community through creative content writing as well as administrative support of Baltimore Restaurant Week. 

  • Assist with engagement community engagement and education efforts. 

  • Review, cross-check, and update consumer-facing data on the IKE Digital Kiosk and Large Format Billboard content management system. 

  • Conduct data analysis and file organization. 

  • Capture photos and videos of DPOB Initiatives within the district to support digital storytelling efforts. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications   

  • College student, preferably junior and senior year seeking bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, English, event management, hospitality or other related field of study preferred. 

  • Previous employment with customer service experience. 

  • Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Cloud, or Canva preferred. 

  • Experience with photography equipment preferred. 

  • Experience capturing video for digital storytelling preferred. 

Knowledge and Skills include: 

  • Must thrive in a fast-paced work environment. 

  • Strong writing skills and analytical skills. 

  • Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills.  

  • An ability to meet deadlines while multi-tasking across campaigns and projects. 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to be clear and direct in both written and verbal forms of communication. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

  • Thursday availability required. 

  • This is a part-time position on-site at Downtown Partnership’s office in Downtown Baltimore. 

  • Work hours are estimated at 10-15 hours per week.  

  • Occasional evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.  

Salary: $15 per hour
